Since September 11th 2021 I've been on-air, doing shows like this off camera. When I started with my friend John Henry, we had no idea who this would actually reach or what impact it could have on our lives. The anonymous aspect of what I do has been for a lot of reasons, both personally and professionally. Being anonymous is also something fading away like many parts of our privacy online. Growing up a wrestling fan, the masked Luchadores in Mexico, hid their identity to protect themselves and their families from the Mafia and angry gamblers. People in chat rooms like to remain anonymous so that they can say what's really on their mind. I can identify strongly with both.
Coming from a family that watched the news together every evening and listened to mostly Conservative talk radio in the morning, I was always captivated by these kinds of conversations, about politics. It's something that has shaped the direction of who I have become and certainly led me on divergent paths away from most of my friends. Having strong opinions on these sorts of things can really cause some trouble in relationships. Even the more intimate ones where I feel the closest to another person I still am in a completely different place when it comes to what I think about our society and culture.
And I can't blame those people for not understanding me or where my opinions are coming from because I had to go on a journey to seek them out. I believe unless someone takes a similar journey of realization, a sense of loss (of your culture, your reality, etc.), and the courage to continue to learn and grow from there, I don't think anyone could truly understand where this all comes from in me.
Podcasting has allowed me to find other people on similar journeys. Those who have walked through Hell and lived to tell the tale. That dealt with the alienation, the ridicule, and sometimes the horrible real life consequences of just not fitting into the mainstream world anymore. I have too many brothers and sisters both creators and audience members to thank for their trust and belief in me these past few years.
Aside from some time off here and there to regroup and to get myself used to a new show schedule, this show has been a constant in my life. And because of it a network began. Now there are several shows you can find on my channels every week and a 24/7 channel dedicated to showing a bunch of other creators to a whole new audience. I have never paid for likes, views, chat bots, or followers. What you see on TNP's numbers come from the community we all built together. And now is the time for it to get even more serious.
As much fun as I have doing this and as much as I love the whole crew, this will be my last TNP LIVE for awhile. At least until something changes about my life schedule. I have accepted a position working for HeadlineUSA under my friend and Editor in chief Ken Silva, to bring to you what will be called The Monday Edition.
This move eats up the only free time I have during the week that's guaranteed and that I'm not busy producing other shows. If and when that changes, I'll be back. But until then, I hope you all check out what I'm doing with HeadlineUSA and give them a follow.
It's about time the people of the world hear the stories I'll be bringing them, and maybe it can lead even more people down a similar path we all went on to get here tonight?
